A first of its kind exhibition for Wilmington, this exhibit explores the intersection of traditional art and interactive contemporary media through augmented reality (AR). Combining an engineering background with over a decade of dedication to both traditional and digital arts, Bahr III has successfully merged a lifetime of artistic experimentation and exploration into an innovative multimedia experience for your viewing pleasure.

Augmented reality allows for data and media to be embedded and placed on an object that is then viewable through an AR enabled device. The “invisible layers” are easily accessed by reading a custom QR code developed specifically for each artwork. Using their own web enabled smart device (phone or tablet) collectors will be routed to a link within their native browser to experience the “invisible layer” hidden within each artwork. Essentially, each artwork has been programmed and enabled to come alive before your eyes. The advancement and accessibility of AR technology allows for a 100% web based experience and no longer requires the nuisance of having to download any 3rd party apps.
